Welcome to our interactive demo of Zoomless Maps.
Under zoomless maps we subsume interfaces that implement advanced interaction functionalities which enable users to explore the available information within an area of interest without the need for zooming or panning. Thus, these maps facilitate comprehensive information exploration while maintaining the essential spatial context for orientation. Three variants of zoomless maps are provided below, which are intended to explore points of interest (POIs) of different categories related to food. Each POI is represented by a label indicating a category and a rating.

Internal Multi-Page Labeling

This map interface distributes the labels on multiple pages. You can browse through the pages by clicking the navigation buttons ( and ) at the bottom panel. The current page number is displayed centrally between these buttons.

External Multi-Page Labeling

This map interface places the labels at the bottom side of the map. Each label is associated with its POI by a connecting line. By clicking the navigation buttons ( and ), you can navigate through different pages.

Sliding Labeling

This map interface places the labels at the bottom side of the map. Each label is associated with its POI by a connecting line. You can swipe through the labels by holding down the left mouse button on the labels and dragging them left or right with the mouse pointer.
